WCH Council Listens to Elementary Students

The Washington Court House City Council met at a different time and place on Monday, May 14th. They met at Belle Aire Elementary at 8:30am to hear from the third graders.

City Manager Joe Denen explains the project is to show youngsters how city government takes what is requested from their annual budget, and how the council comes to agreement on how to meet needs in the community.

This year the students were concerned about improving resources for the Fire and Police Departments. Denen says that is normal. Denen says he's also surprised that the students don't ask for things for themselves.

Council will meet next on Wednesday, June 14th at 7:30pm in Council Chambers.
