Two Charged with Abandoning Animals in Washington CH

Two abandoned dogs and a cat are now in the custody of the Fayette County Humane Society after being removed from a condemned and vacated residence Washington CH.

The former residents are alleged to have left the animals behind when they moved and have been charged with three counts of second degree misdemeanor charges of abandoning animals. Each charge carries a penalty of up to a $750 fine and 90 days.

The two individuals charged voluntarily surrendered the animals into the care and custody of the Fayette Regional Humane Society where they are now available for adoption.
