Section of U.S. 50 in Highland County to Close Briefly on Wednesday

As part of an ongoing bridge replacement project between Spickard Road and Danville Pike, U.S. Route 50 in Highland County will be subject to a temporary closure on Wednesday, April 25th.

At any time between approximately noon and 2:00 p.m., U.S. 50 will be closed for up to 30 minutes while crews from a local utility company move lines across the roadway. The closure will be a short-term and there will be no posted detour; however, motorists may want to seek alternate routes to avoid delay.

Currently, the route is reduced to one lane approximately six miles west of Hillsboro, near the community of Fairview.

The project is scheduled to be completed in early fall.
