Little Big Town: Honored For Advocacy

Little Big Town will get an award in the nation's capital next month.

On April 18th, the quartet will receive the Grammys on the Hill Award from the Recording Academy, which is celebrating 20 years of advocacy. Little Big Town will be honored for their efforts on behalf of a number of artist-friendly causes, including music education and the Academy's MusiCares charity. The group's Karen Fairchild says they plan to continue to do their part "to protect music education, songwriters, recordings and the artists who bring them to life."

The awards dinner and show will take place at Hamilton Live in Washington, D.C., and will feature still-to-be-announced musical performances. Previous Grammy on the Hill Award winners include Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, Don Henley, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson.
