Snow showers that froze to area roads created slick road conditions for Thursday morning motorists. Reports of several traffic accidents were common and several schools in the region called-in two hour delays.
Fayette County Sheriff reported that most roads were icy and snow covered with "multiple accidents" being reported.
No "snow emergencies" had been issued in any area county, at press time.
