Freezing rain and icy roads greeted morning commuters in the Scioto Valley Monday, causing area law enforcement to administer road hazard conditions and many area schools either closed or were on some type of delay.
Snow emergencies were declared in every area county, including Level 1 for Fayette.
Numerous traffic accidents were reported during the morning rush.
