John R. Wend, 75 of Greenfield passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at his home.
He is survived by his wife Carol (Kersey) Wend whom he married on January 27, 1978; children, Cari Barr Freitag of Brentwood, TN, JJ Freitag of Nashville, TN, Nathan (Kate) Barr of Greenville, SC, Chuck (Bee) Wend of Hebron, KY and Jackie (Jody) Flynn of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren, Milo and Jude Freitag, Max Barr and Carly Batson, Sarah and Charlie Wend, and Brent and Brady Flynn; two sisters, Margie (Mike) Jonas of Maineville and Janey (Todd) Boney of Nelsonville; one sister-in-law, Susan Dearth Wend of Nelsonville and their families and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 11 at the McClain High School Gymnasium from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service and military honors to follow.
Casual dress required by wearing your school colors.
