Helen D. “Billy” Leasher Howland, 75 years of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017.
She was born October 24, 1942 in Wilmington, OH., the daughter of the late Donald and Gennethe (Davis) Leasher.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer R. “Boone” Howland on June 18, 2008; great grandson, Christopher Harrison; two brothers, Rick and Terry Leasher; one sister, Linda Inlow Curtis.
Helen was a member of the The Old Path Holiness Church near Leesburg, OH. Helen retired from Buckeye Molding in New Vienna after 26 years of service.
Helen is survived by one daughter, Brenda (Craig) Gross of Jeffersonville, OH.; five sons, Gary (Deborah) Mann of Goshen, Cary (Nickie) Mann of Washington, C.H., Lary (Cheyenne) Mann of Hillsboro, Dary (Alvina) Mann of Hillsboro, Kyle McElroy of Hillsboro; 21 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren; two sisters, Dallas Mathews of TX and Diana Leasher of Middletown, OH.: two brothers, Eugene (Lana) Leasher of GA and Harold (Sharon) Leasher of Midland, OH.; two step brothers, R.C. Mathews of Blanchester and Dwayne Mathews of OK.; two sisters-in-law, Tonya Leasher of Blanchester and Debbie Leasher of Wilmington; aunts, Letha Stanforth of Hillsboro and Mary Barton of Columbus, OH.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Jason Mann will officiate with burial in the Gardner Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
