Ohio's Attorney General has announced he's forming a new task force to connect insurance companies with the battle over opioids. The announcement about the Opioid Task Force comes just one day before the group is expected to meet for the first time in downtown Columbus.
Attorney General DeWine says the financial burden of the opioid epidemic is paid by health insurance subscribers and taxpayers. The task force will look at reducing dependency, reducing claims, and reducing the number of opioid prescriptions.
