Janice Marie Harner (nee Dowler),
Age 69, a long time resident of the Wilmington, Ohio area, passed away Sunday morning August 27, 2017 at the Laurels of Blanchester.
Janice was born November 15, 1947 in Martinsville, Ohio from the loving parents of the late Rennie & Clyde Dowler.
Janice worked at the Bob & Carl's as a cashier for 10 years and at Dealer Track for many years.
Surviving are her loving husband- Charles Benny Harner; and she was the loving mother to her son- David (Angie) Hurst & 3 step-daughters- Denise (Matthew) Hedges, Angela Schweitzer & Kimberly Chapman Box; 4 siblings- Bill Dowler, Patricia (Jerry) Walker, Wanda (Gary) Dixon, & Cindy (Mark) Plummer; 3 in-law siblings- Patricia (Mark) Taylor, Bonnie (Leo) Sandlin, & Ronna Sandlin; 13 grandchildren- Christopher Hurst, Alexia & Jacob Macik, Seth Hedges, Logan Kilburn, McKinsey & Bailee Schweitzer, Hillary (Kyle) Funk, Brandon Box, Gabriel Greenleaf, Dalson, Dayton, & Harley Catrell, and Andrew (Britney) Carlo; 8 great-grandchildren- Kynnedy, Aubri, Kayden, Bentley, Lilly, Connor & Emery; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her previous husband- Marlin Hurst; sister-in-law- Bonnie Dowler; brothers-in-law- Phillip Harner and Troy Sandlin; and step-daughter- Kelly Kilburn.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Pastor Mark Plummer officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington. The Honorary Pallbearers will be David Hurst, Jerry Walker, & Seth Hedges. The Active Pallbearers will be Jacob Macik, Alexis Macik, Matt Hedges, Phil Harner, Christopher Hurst, & Logan Kilburn.
Friends will be received from 12 Noon until the time of services on Wednesday, August 30 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
