Man Travels Cross Country To Serenade His 98-Year-Old Grandmother

A Colorado man may have just shown himself to be the greatest grandson ever after he traveled across the country to Florida just to sing to his 98-year-old grandmother.

Ashley Ruiz, a singer and former member of Puerto Rican boy band Menudo, says he's been singing Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable" to his grandma every year on her birthday since he learned the song at eight years old. It has become their tradition and he's serenaded her every year either on the phone or over Skype. But he decided her 98th birthday should be more special.

Without telling her, he got on a flight to Florida and surprised her at her home where he got to sing the song to her in person. The sweet moment was captured in a video which has gone viral, and it will bring tears to your eyes. (ABC News)
