Chad Taylor, President & General Manager of Taylor’s South Shore Marina, in Wilmington, Ohio, has been appointed as a Director At Large for the Marine Retailers Association Board of Directors for the 2017 session.
“Chad’s dedication to the industry and his passion to lead the next generation of boat dealers has contributed to the success of our association,” say Matt Gruhn, president of the MRAA, “His understanding of the industry as a whole, and particularly of his niche within the boating market, allows him to offer valuable insight on present topics to the MRAA board.“
Acting as Board Member for the MRAA is not the only way Chad dedicates his time to the marine industry. Chad is currently an active member of the Boating Association of Ohio, the Southern Ohio Marine Trades Association, and MRAA’s Young Leaders Advisory Council. He also serves as a chairman to the Ohio Waterways Safety Council, appointed by the Governor of Ohio in 2009.
“My involvement within the industry stems from my desire to create a strong and lasting market,” Taylor says. “MRAA, among the other associations I serve, has given me a platform to voice my insights and advice regarding the future of boating.”
Chad and his wife Stacy have three daughters; Brooklyn, Jenna, and Temperance. They enjoy spending their free time taking family vacations to Disney, watching the Cincinnati Bengals, fishing, and riding motorcycles.
