A man who fled after his sentencing was brought into custody. Washington Court House police said they were dispatched to help find Clifford Morris, who ran from municipal court after being sentenced to serve jail time at around 12:15 p.m., Wednesday.
Morris was found in the 1100 block of Washington Avenue, but authorities said he fled into a house and hid in the basement. According to the report, Morris hit the police K9 in the rib area during his arrest.
He was charged with obstructing official business and assaulting a police dog.
