A man was arrested for a breaking and entering incident in Highland County. Officials with the Hillsboro Police Department said they received multiple reports of break-ins or attempted break-ins into five city businesses on June 27.
Investigators say they sought Michael Williams, 28, of Mowrystown, as a suspect after gathering information from a break-in at a business on Muntz Street. Authorities say they found evidence linking Williams to the crime in his vehicle on July 5.
Williams was arrested and taken to the Highland County Jail on a charge of breaking and entering.
Authorities say the investigation into the other break-ins that occurred within a few hours of one another on June 27 continues.
