Firefighters rescued a person who was trapped in a burning house in Washington Court House. Officials said first responders were called to the 100-block of East Paint Street just before 3 a.m., Thursday, and found fire and smoke venting through the windows.
A two-person search team removed the victim from the building, and he was treated by the Fayette County Life Squad, according to the fire report.
Officials said the blaze was extinguished, and the cause of fire is under investigation.
