Those leaving the country for vacation are often faced with the choice of purchasing a passport booklet or a passport card. Highland County Clerk of Court Ike Hodson said a passport booklet allows people to travel out of country by air, ground, or sea.
"A passport card will allow you get to and from Canada and Mexico only by car," said Hodson.
He said to apply for a passport, people must provide a certified copy of their birth certificate, a photo ID, and payment of their application fee.
