On Wednesday, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration awarded $77,400 to the Fayette County Board of Commissioners for upgrades to the Fayette County Airport.
“The Fayette County Airport supports tourism and commerce in Fayette County,” Brown said. “This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of the airport so it can remain a reliable option for the county.”
The grant to the Fayette County Airport will go toward reconstructing the airport’s taxiway, rehabilitating pavement, and conducting a wildlife hazard assessment.
