Portion of U.S. 50 Closed Due to High Water

The Highland County Sheriff's Office reports U.S. Route 50, just west of Danville Road, is now closed due to high water. The Sheriff's Office Communication Center has received numerous calls of flooding on county and township roads as well.

Crews from ODOT as well as Highland Co Engineers Office and township trustees have been putting up barricades and high water signs throughout Highland County. Motorists are reminded that there will be areas where there are no high water warning signs, extreme caution should be used when traveling on roadways tonight. Do not attempt to drive in fast moving water.
