A Wilmington State Highway Patrol Trooper has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Trooper Jennifer Soderquist was promoted to rank Monday by Patrol Superintendent Colonel Paul Pride.
Sergeant Soderquist will remain at the Wilmington District Crash Reconstruction Unit.
Sergeant Soderquist began her Patrol career in April 1998 as a member of the 131st Academy Class. She earned her commission in October of that year and was assigned to the Wilmington Post. As a trooper, she also served at the Xenia Post and the Wilmington District Crash Reconstruction Unit.
In 2010, she was selected as Xenia Post Trooper of the Year. She also earned the Trooper Recognition Award four times and the District Trooper Recognition Award in 2016.
Sergeant Soderquist also served in the United States Marines from 1993 to 1997.
