Swearing Relieves Both Physical & Emotional Pain

According to a new study, swearing relieves both physical pain and emotional pain.

Researchers in New Zealand found that saying swear words helps relieve pain – such as when you stub your toe.

It also relieves emotional distress – such as when your boss gives you negative feedback you don’t feel you deserve.

It seems that blasting off curse words helps blow off steam, which means stress doesn’t get a chance to build up inside and cause more problems and pain. (Medical Xpress)
