Highland County residents in need of food can access help through Samaritan Outreach. Wade Hamilton said they offer a full-choice food pantry, but they also have a program for those who need delivery.
"If you know somebody who might have some medical issues that prevent them from being able to leave the house, give us a call."
Hamilton said deliveries are made each week, and each person is given between 15-and-20 pounds of food.
The Samaritan Outreach food pantry, located on N. East Street in Hillsboro, is open every Monday through Wednesday.For more information, log onto www.ourpantry.org.
