Helen Carnazza Brown, 96, of Jeffersonville, Ohio died peacefully Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 12:03 a.m. at her home.
Mrs. Brown was born August 10, 1920, in Bronx, New York to Guiseppi and Marie Manellia Carnazza. She moved to Washington Court House in 2013, and had been living in Jeffersonville since 2015.
Mrs. Brown attended the Heritage Memorial Church of Christ in Christian Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Brown on February 20, 1987; by three children, Norman, Joe and Florence Brown; a granddaughter, Renee Brown Scott and was the last of a family of ten siblings.
She is survived by a son, William Brown, II of South Carolina; three grandsons, William Brown III, Jimmy Brown and Joe Brown; her caregiver and granddaughter-in-law, Karen Brown of Jeffersonville; several great grandchildren including Rachel Brown and Amanda Barrett of Jeffersonville and Noah Javan Scott of New York and a special caregiver and friend, Tiffany Cockerill.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no visitation or funeral. Burial of the cremains will be in the St. Raymond’s Catholic Cemetery in New York.
Memorial contributions may be made to the children’s department at Heritage Memorial Church of Christ in Christian Union, 1867 U.S. Route 35-NW, Washington Court House, Ohio 43160.
