ROBERT JOHN WILSON JR., age 90, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 7:21 a.m. at the Seaton Apartments of Washington CH.
He was born on September 25, 1926 in Alexander Bay, New York to Robert John and Violet Bryant Wilson Sr. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. He retired from a long career of truck driving. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington CH. He enjoyed watching TV, puzzling, and being with his family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Shirley Ann Sciberras.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Adkins Wilson, whom he married 42 years ago; children, Thomas William (Connie) Wilson, Nancy LaPointe, Bonnie (Rick) Pomerleau, John (Barbara) Wilson, Ronald Wilson, and Wayne Wilson; step-children, Carl Holcomb, Kathy Runnels and her fiancé, John Poplin, Donna Miller, and Brenda Rogers; special granddaughter, Brittney (Jarrod) Jarrell, and their children, Landen and Elise; brother-in-law, Henry “Hank” (Liz) Adkins, and their children, Star, Tony, and Marbin. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at the Seaton Apartments Community Room in Washington CH with Chaplin Jeff Davis officiating.
