A Hillsboro woman was killed while crossing a Clinton County highway.
The Wilmington Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol reports that 65-year-old M. Kathleen Reynolds of Wilmington was westbound in a 2015 Ford Edge on State Route 73 near State Route 380 in Chester Township, Clinton County, about 5:49 am Thursday, September 15th.
33-year-old Bethany L. Wiget of Hillsboro was attempting to cross State Route 73 when she was struck by the SUV.
Wiget was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner’s Office. Reynolds sustained minor injuries and was transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital by Chester Township EMS.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Chester Township Fire and EMS, Ohio Department of Transportation.
