The Fayette County Commissioners have made an agreement with the Lawrence County Commissioners for Lawrence County to provide residential services for Fayette County juvenile offenders. The agreement was made during the Fayette County Commissioners meeting held on March 22nd.
The Lawrence County Juvenile Center will provide community residential services to approved Fayette County juvenile offenders at a per diem payment rate of $85.00 per bed. The term of the agreement will run from January 1st to December 31st of this year.
Expenses for any medical, dental, counseling or other costs not ordinarily provided by the Lawrence County Juvenile Center, will be the responsibility of a juvenile offender’s parent or guardian, their insurance provider, or the court which placed the juvenile offender at the Lawrence County Juvenile Center.
