WCH School Board Discusses Tax Levy

The Washington City Schools Board of Education met in a special Wednesday morning session.

The 7am meeting was to discuss a proposed ten-mill tax levy for the city school district. The meeting included a public hearing segment.

Washington School Superintendent Tom Bailey told iHeart Media News that the board approved five resolutions, in order to keep the process going in case the district wanted to go with a special election later this summer. The board could make a determination later on which specific type of levy to go with, if they wanted to put a levy on the ballot at all.
