The Fayette County Farm Bureau and the Fayette Soil & Water Conservation District are partnering on the event. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. and Jordan will speak at 8:00 a.m.

Jordan will be speaking about the new Ohio Agriculture Conservation Initiative. The OACI is an unprecedented partnership between agriculture, conservation, environmental, and research communities to recognize farmers for their dedication to utilize established methods to improve water quality in Ohio and to increase the number of best management practices being implemented on farms.

Governor Mike DeWine recently outlined his framework for the use of H2Ohio program to ensure funds get to farmers who demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement through implementation of science based practices. Jordan will highlight what are the best practices being encouraged and the goal of OACI as we all move forward together to tackle the important issues of water quality.
