This is bizarre …So we’ve all heard of people stealing stuff from hotel rooms – towels, bathrobes and hangers being the most common -- but, believe it or not, hotels report that people have even stolen mattresses from their rooms. And we’re not talking cheap motels here -- these are 4- and 5-star resorts. Yep, a recent study by luxury hotel and spa guide found that about 4.2% of luxury 4- and 5-star hotels have reported guests stealing mattresses right out of their rooms. And according to the research, the probability for mattress theft is 8 times higher in 5-star hotels.
