A fall pumpkin-themed event makes its return to downtown Washington CH this weekend. There will be more than a dozen local businesses participating.

"The Pumpkin Walk is an annual event we have, which is coming up this coming Saturday, October 12th from 11am to 4pm," says Main Street Fayette's Kendra Hernandez. "Fifteen businesses are going to be offering treats such as chili, pumpkin bars, pumpkin dip, smores, cookies, cheesecake and apple cider."

Participants will also get to try whatever pumpkin dish a business is offering. Hernandez says tickets are required to take part in the Pumpkin Walk, with the proceeds benefiting Main Street Fayette, and the local events it provides to the public.

"The tickets are $20 and you can purchase those on-line or at the city administration building. They will also be available on the day of the event until we're sold out," says Hernandez. "All the proceeds will go torward supporting the downtown, and into other Main Street Fayette events."
