Wilmington Run's away with victory over the Miami Trace Panthers 56-14 behind 569 total yards of offense.

The game started out looking like last to have the ball would win, at least through the first four possessions. Wilmington struck first and then often but they got the scoring started on their first possession of the game, going 75 yards in 9 plays with a Malik Scott 34 yard TD run, pat was good, Cane up 7-0. Miami Trace answered right back with 4:23 to go in the first quarter on a 5 play 56 yard drive that ended with a 28 yard touchdown toss from Dalton Mayer to Joshua Gilmore. Wilmington answered less than one minute later, going 77 yards in 3 plays as Cam Coomer hit Carter Huffman on a 59 yard pass to make it 14-7. Wilmington scored again on a Coomer 53 yard QB sneak to push it to 21-7 before the Panthers answered back again with Mayer hitting Gilmore again this time on a 25 yard TD pass. But that would be the end of the scoring for the Panthers in the half and the Hurricane had only just begun. They scored twice more on a 1 play 80 yard pass to Isiah Rigling then a 34 yard scamper by Rigling, with a 2-pt conversion to make it 35-14 at the half.

Wilmington had 393 total yards in the first half, 201 on the ground and 192 through the air. The Panther's had 216 total yards, 117 through the air and 99 on the ground.

Wilmington started off the third quarter as hot as the first, scoring 14 seconds into the third quarter on a play 88 yard touchdown run by Malik Scott then Peyton Hibbard came in to play quarterback and hit the starting QB Cam Coomer on an 86 yard throw and catch to make it 49-14, putting in place the continuous clock. Wilmington scored once more to in the third to make it 56-14. The Panthers scored a few mop up points at the end of the game, but still fell by a score of 56-24.

Miami Trace on the night had 304 total yards, 119 passing, 185 rushing. Dalton Mayer was 8-13 for 116 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Joshua Gilmore had 5 receptions for 87 yards and 2 scores. The Panthers had 2 turnovers committed 8 penalties for 70 yards and finished with 15 first downs.
