(24/7 News) -- A Madison County man is facing multiple charges in connection to a fire eleven years ago that killed his wife and two children.

Peter Romans was charged yesterday with four counts of aggravated murder, three counts of murder, and three counts of aggravated arson.

Officials originally ruled the fire as an arson in 2008 and listed the three deaths as homicides.

Romans has always maintained his innocence and unsuccessfully sued the Ford Motor company claiming a truck explosion started the fire.
