(24/7 News) -- The Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services is releasing data showing unemployment in the Central Ohio area is at near record low levels.

A report released Tuesday says the jobless rate in Central Ohio is at three-point-four-percent which is down from four-point-five-percent at the beginning of the year.

Employment numbers across the state showed improvement with 87 out of 88 counties reporting fewer people looking for a job.

The last time the jobless rate was this low was in July of 2001 when the numbers showed less than three-percent out of work.
