Washington High School is inviting all Veterans and current service members to join the Blue Lions for a free meal tomorrow this Friday, in honor of Sunday's Veterans Day holiday.
Veterans Day can be busy for veterans, so the school is providing this event on Friday to allow Vets an opportunity to relax and enjoy a quality meal at their leisure.
Meal-goers should enter through the gymnasium doors at any time between 11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. and take a seat at any available table.
The menu will consist of BBQ chicken breast and Salisbury steak, with corn, green beans, and scalloped potatoes as sides. A dinner roll with butter will accompany each meal, with water, lemonade, and tea being served to drink. Cookies will be the dessert.
At 12:45, the high school will host their annual Americanism assembly in Liberty Hall, and all are welcome to attend the short presentation.
