Ohio Dr. Studies Impact of Medical Pot on Opioid Addicts


Doctor F. Stuart Leeds, at Wright State in Dayton, says he's digging into how to use cannabis for treating opioid addiction. 


Doctor Leeds says he will give what information he's collected to the Ohio State Medical Board as it accepts petitions until the end of the year to determine what conditions should qualify for medical marijuana use. 


The director of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services has said there's no medical evidence to support using marijuana to treat opioid addiction.
