Following a chemical spill in Fayette County, the head of the local FEMA office, says she was pleased with the response. The incident involved a chlorine spill that took place in mid-September of 2017 at the water treatment facility in Washington CH.
Local FEMA Director, Melissa Havens says FEMA officials met to discuss the spill following the clean-up, discussing how the spill was handled and how they might improve their efforts in the event of a similar situation.
Havens has just completed her first year as the local FEMA Director.
