Chillicothe 2, Hillsboro 0

Matt Dunn pitched a complete game five hit shutout as the Cavs beat
Hillsboro 2-0 Friday.

It's the second straight game Chillicothe starters went the distance.

Caleb Price was hit by a pitch, stole three bases and scored both Cavalier runs while Jack Busch and Nolan Taylor drove Price in both times.

The Cavs evened their mark at 8-8 and improved to 3-5 in the SCOL.

Chillicothe faces East Clinton in a doubleheader Saturday.

SOFTBALL:

Chillicothe 10, Hillsboro 8

The Lady Cavs erased an 8-5 deficit and scored three-runs in the 7th to beat
Hillsboro 10-8 Friday.

The Cavaliers pounded out 15 hits including four doubles which led to the win. 

The Indians scored all their runs in the first two innings, scoring three runs in their first at bat and five more in the 2nd.

Chillicothe didn't help themselves by committing six errors.

Maddie Ayres pitched five scorelss innings in relief for the win.

Bri Dawes had 3 RBI, Hayley Woodbridge added two more while Kyia Burgin, Tori Bettendorf, Olivia Ray and Haylee Large nocked in a run each.

Chilllicothe remains in first place of the SCOL at 8-1.

The Cavs play East Clinton Saturday.

The Cavalier netters swept their match with Clinton Massie Friday 5-0.

3rd Singles: Ryan Littler (C) defeated Gabe Patterson (CM), 6-0, 7-5
1st Doubles: Will Krieger/Emma Patino (C) defeated Johnny Sturgis/Phillip
Parker (CM), 7-5, 6-2
2nd Doubles: Chillicothe won by forfeit

Chillicothe (6-5, SCOL 5-2) will host Hillsboro Monday.
