Chillicothe placed 11th in the 14 team Portsmouth invitational played Thursday at the Portsmouth Elks Country club (par 71).
Logan finished atop the leader board with a 304. The Cavaliers fired a 380.
Wheelersburg's Mitchell McFarland carded a 71 for match medalist honors.
"I was proud of the way our team bounced back after a bad score Monday" said Cavs coach Chris Pope. "I told the guys I wanted to take four scores under 100, and we almost got there. Sean McCorkle and Eryc Corey had never been to the course before or played 18 competitive holes. They got great experience which will help us later in the year."
Payne Wissler continued his solid play with an 88. Pope added "(Payne) is the clear #1 man on our team. We still need work on playing smarter and focusing on every shot instead of score. I like the direction our team is headed."
Chillicothe's next match is the inaugural Cavalier invitational Friday at Chillicothe Country Club.
