Saturday Chillicothe (0-4) hosted a tri-match with Waverly and Unioto.

The Cavs lost in two games to Waverly 25-10 and 25-18. "The Lady Cavs came out slowly and just could not get any offense going" Coach Greg Tracey said of his team's performance in the opening game. "In game 2 it was close at 18-20 and then Waverly finished with 5 straight points.  Hitting and passing mistakes made it difficult for the Lady Cavs to gain any momentum."

In the second match the Shermans serving proved to be too m uch for the Lady Cavs and again they could not get any momentum, losong in two to Unioto 25-11 and 25-9. Tracey said "too many unforced errors being a major deciding factor."

GIRLS SOCCER:
Jackson 4, Chillicothe 2
Lady Cavs (1-2/1-0) soccer traveled to Jackson Saturday morning and lost 4-2.

"We played with much more intensity and fire than our opening two games" said Cavs Coach Zach Breth.

Jackson's first goal was off and corner and against the run of play and followed it up with a second to put the Cavs in a 2-0 hole.

"We battled back late in the first and Teyanna Thompson scored from a great ball by Lydia Kelly with 22 seconds left before halftime" added Breth. "The second half was much of the same, we gave away too many corners and let players turn
in front of our goal to make it 4-1. We showed great perseverance and were gaining momentum again toward the end of the game when Teyanna scored the goal of the match with a 30 yard volley that dipped nicely over the keeper."

Breth said his club is making strides. "Many improvements and we are looking forward to traveling to Miami Trace on Tuesday."
