Roberta "Bertie" Caudy, 79 of Mt. Sterling passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at The Sterling Place. She was born August 4, 1938 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
Preceded in death by her parents Robert and Annabelle (Nance) Parrett; husband Paul Caudy, infant daughter Renee, sister Betty Parrett, and brother Robert Parrett. She is survived by children Robbie (Rick) Abbott, John (Debbie) Griffith, Rachelle (Jared) Mullins, and Jeff Griffith; 11 grandchildren Jamie Abbott, Jonathan (Caty) Abbott, Jerick (Courtney) Abbott, Joey Beth Abbott, Natalie (Nathan) Dorn, Kristen (Philip) Guess, Josh (Stacy) Griffith, Jared Griffith, Erin (Dylan) Leitch, Luke and Lydia Mullins; 11 great-grandchildren Makala, Madi, Bentlee, Hudson, Landyn, Maya, Jozie, Rider, Kenley, Audrey, and Ty; sisters Judy Walters, Kimberli (Randy) Maggard; step-daughters Sherry Cornett and Teresa Caudy; step-sons Mike and Phil Caudy; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family of Bertie Caudy would like to thank all those on The Loving Care Hospice staff including her personal nurse, Kelli (Hughes) Beekman; Lee Hall and the staff of The Sterling Place who gave her such wonderful care; and the numerous friends in the community who came to visit her.
A Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross, Billy Warner, and Rev. Jeff Griffith officiating. The interment will follow in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday from 5 - 8 p.m.
