Do you want to be an Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper? The Patrol has launched a recruiting effort to keep up with retirements and troopers leaving for other reasons.

Lt. Amy Ivy said they’re trying to get as many interested people as possible: “Their application, should they pass all of the entire application process, will be available for a year.”

To quality, you must be between the ages of 20 and 34, have at least a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.

Lt. Ivy said the Patrol is losing about 5 troopers per month.
