Ross County Sheriff George Lavender has confirmed the body of a female pulled from Paint Creek Saturday, is that of a missing Chillicothe woman.

Fingerprints taken from the body match those of missing Chillicothean Tameka Lynch. Her family was notified Monday afternoon of the connection.

Kayakers riding Paint Creek, discovered the body at approximately 3:30pm Saturday, as the body was lodged on a sandbar in the creek, which made it difficult for deputies to gain access. The body was finally recovered at 5:30pm behind the 500 block of Falls Road.

Jeremi Lynch says he last saw his wife, 30-year-old Tameka, in the area of Fourth and Douglas in Chillicothe at 9:50pm, May 16th.

The cause of death is still under investigation by the Montgomery County Coroner.
