If you thought 4-Hers have participate in the county fair where they go to school or reside, think again.

While the majority of 4-H participants probably do stay "at home", it is not uncommon for teens to go to neighboring 4-H clubs.

One example is this year's Ross County Junior Fair Board President Ryan Kline. He attended McClain High School in Greenfield (Highland County), but has been a long-time participant at the Ross County Fair.

In fact, there have been quite a few 4-H students from the Greenfield area who have done very well in livestock competitions at the Ross Fair, especially in hog showing.

The Ross County Fair officially opens Sunday, August 3rd, with some activities occuring August 2nd as many booths and exhibits are being set up.
