Officials with the Fayette Humane Society rescued a cat in distress, Tuesday afternoon. Humane Officer Brad Adams says he was called to Jeffersonville after a citizen reported seeing a cat in a small dumpster and that the cat had a can stuck on its head.

The cat was picked up and taken to the Humane Society where it was given oxygen and fluids.

“When this kitty has recovered from her ordeal, we plan to bring her into one of our programs where she will be health checked and spayed," said Executive Director Dr. Lee Schrader. “We hope to find her the perfect home.”
