In the May election, voters in Fayette County agreed to let the County Commissioners seek Electric Aggregation for the un-incorporated parts of the county. Commissioner Dan Dean says to be leary of changing your electric supplier now.

Dean says residents who get approached by electricity suppliers should ask for the price per kilowatt hour. If it is above 5.35 cents per kilowatt hour, he says, you should wait for county aggregation.

The aggregation is set to take place this September.
