Common Core Issues Bring Former Foes Together

In recent months, several states have pulled out of the national standardized Common Core Standards for grades K-12.

Ohio Education Association President Becky Higgins says like with any new program, there are some tweaks that need to be made. But, when those changes are made by the legislature, they need to seek advice from the teachers, who will be faced with implementing the program.

State Senator Bob Peterson recently concurred on a recent radio interview, saying that while uniform standards are needed, some changes in Common Core are warranted.
