(Ohio News Network) _ Columbus will observe the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior this morning beginning with the city's signature event - the 29th annual breakfast, held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
The birthday breakfast is the the largest event of its kind in the United States honoring king.
The keynote speaker is Yvette McGee Brown - the first African-American woman to serve as a justice on the Ohio Supreme Court.
It is Columbus' signature King holiday event, and is attended by thousands of diverse supporters every year.
While Justice Brown will deliver the keynote, Governor John Kasich is also expected to deliver remarks.
